Fudgy Balls With Surprise (Vegan)

  • 1 cup raw cashews
  • 1 cup dates pitted
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp organic orange zest (optional)
  • 1/4 cup rice milk chocolate or dark
  • 1/3 cup 70% dark chocolate chopped and melted
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon for dusting
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)


  1. Melt the dark chocolate and add 1 tbsp of extra virgin coconut oil; stir and set aside

  2. Using a medium food processor, blend together dates and cashews

  3. Add the coconut oil and orange zest and process a little bit more, until mixture holds together (add the honey if necessary)

  4. Spoon it out into a bowl and form balls adding a half of a piece from the rice milk chocolate in the middle 

  5. Roll it through your hands and cover it with the melted chocolate using a spoon

  6. Right after this put each ball on a plate kept in the refrigerator the whole time

  7. Dust each chocolate ball with a bit of cinnamon

  8. You can serve over at least half an hour
