Goat cheese is like, either you love it or hate it. I used to hate it, but tried to find ways to cook it so that anyone ( almost anyone) would like it. Why? Because goat milk dairy is a healthier option , and because I like challenges and this certainly was one. Guess what, it really is possible to make it tasty. I’ve used goat cream cheese to make a wonderful cheesecake, different types of pasta sauce, even on top of pizzas, and this goat cheese spread two ways. These two ways are probably the best I could achieve so far, so I’m sharing them with you.

My both girls love these on top of fresh or toasted sourdough bread, but also with crackers. You can as well serve with vegetable sticks, with roasted vegetables such as beetroot or other roots, and even use it in risotto. Just play and enjoy!

Soft goat cheese turned into creamy cheese spread in two ways

1. Dill&Garlic Goat Cheese Spread

  • 3/4 cup Goat Cream Cheese (organic)
  • 1/2 tbsp fresh dill finely chopped
  • 1 big/medium garlic clove grated or crushed
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp olive oil (optional)

2. Sweet Pea Goat Cheese Spread

  • 1/2 cup Goat Cream Cheese (organic)
  • 1/2 tbsp pesto (organic/ home-made)
  • 1 tbsp parsley finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp fresh dill finely chopped (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sweet peas boiled 3 mins
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt or to taste


  1. For the first spread, just combine all the ingredients and soften as you mix everything together. Chill and serve.

  2. For the second spread, partly mash the boiled sweet peas and combine with the rest of the ingredients and mix everything together. Chill and serve.
