It is believed that during the Last Supper, the Apostles had eaten Charoset, a dessert made of apples, nuts, raisins, cinnamon and honey, now known as the biblical dessert.
The Jewish Charoset is the So-Called Biblical Dessert
This dessert can banish heartache, help you get rid of kidney stones and gallstones, helps underactive thyroid, helps to remove stains from the skin, heal acne, psoriasis, herpes and insomnia, cancer and even fight against candida infections, if consumed regularly.
Yes, that’s right. I’ve read about this in the past few days and I’ve decided to give it a try, and that was a great idea. Soooo delicious! My big girl loved it.
The inspiration came from a few different recipes I had found and I’ve chosen my own way to go. There you are:
The So-Called Biblical Dessert
- 1/8 cup pecans chopped
- 1 tbsp organic raisins chopped
- 3 dates chopped
- 1 tbsp organic honey
- 1/2 tsp organic ground cinnamon
- 2 organic apples diced, skin off
- 1 tsp flax seed meal
- 1 tsp wine or lemon juice
- Mix the honey with cinnamon and lemon juice/wine
- Add the flax seed meal and mix well
Add in the diced apples, pecans, chopped dates and raisins and mix again
Use a culinary ring or mould to shape and decorate with a pecan
- Serve and enjoy
You can replace the pecans with walnuts, and use maple syrup or agave syrup instead of honey. I've used flaxseed meal to thicken but you can omit it if not necessary.
